It's been a while since I've written on this blog. It first began as a personal style blog, a place where I could show my craft and knitting, and whatever tidbits was related to fashion and style. I never really had a clear vision for this blog, and I still do not. Throughout high school, I was fascinated with alternative fashions, especially in Japanese street fashion. I wanted to talk about it with my friends but none of them particularly had an interest for it, so I began to write. It soon drifted into observing trends and the style of others as I was trying to pinpoint my own style, but I've always been reluctant to share OOTD (outfit of the day) because I was not comfortable with my body. Posts became fewer as my interest for fashion dwindled at times, or I began to feel like it was a chore to have to post anything. How about new skin for the new year? The whole appeal of the French Pharmacie brands are that they're a slice of luxury but without the high-end prices. They've been quite trendy in the past year and have been available in various pharmacy chains in Australia for the past year or so. The French woman is often idealised as a flawless, natural beauty with a  je ne sais quoi. In the international market, the allure of these brands is that you can have access to what a typical French woman use. Among the cult classics of the French pharmacie are Avène, Bioderma, Nuxe, Klorane and La Roche Posay. Caudalie and Vichy are ones I have yet to find in store but are sold in online boutiques. I've only tried the products that have gained a lot of hype amongst makeup artists and beauty bloggers alike. For fellow comic readers, the news is already out. For readers who might be interested in reading comics: there's going to be a new look for Batgirl - the reboot of Barbara Gordon's Batgirl. With the new costume, it's not a complete reboot and it'll kick off in issue #35. I think it's generally positive reception for the costume design. It's not overly sexualised and it actually looks like something I would wear, and perhaps a lot of girls would too (if we're crime-fighting heroines). This article has been released a while but it appears that Sephora is planning to open a store here in Sydney . This piece of news is something many girls are excited about, including myself. We all hope that it will bring some competition and drop the prices of makeup here but realistically speaking, I don't think that's going to happen. On the bright side, my friends will finally know what Sephora is. I bought some of them makeup last time I was in the US and they had no idea what Sephora was. Urban Decay and Tarte will hopefully be available to Sydneysiders and perhaps the rest of Australia via post before you make your way around. I'm not sure if it'll sell NARS and Stila since Mecca's already a stockist here. It was updated that it'll be in Sydney CBD Westfield  (Pitt St Mall).
