Event: Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sydney 2015 - The Innovators

I was invited to see my friend's collection in The Innovators earlier this week and to support her. I thought it would be nice to share with you the photos from my view.  Her collection was under the eponymous label 'Onticha'. Yeah, no crisp fashion shots here since it was all taken with a mobile phone camera. I wasn't even in my best outfit -- I came along with something I wear on a regular day. The only thing different was the makeup: my end-of-year ball makeup because one of my friends loved the look that she wanted to see it in person. Nevertheless, it was an exciting event because it was my very first experience of a fashion week. Also, I got to see my friends all glammed up for the event but I wasn't going to sacrifice comfort for fashion. Something I rarely ever say to myself but I knew it was a trek to the venue, especially on 4" heels. My two glamorous friends, all dressed up to support Onticha. I had to get their shoes in the shot. Event: IMATS Sydney 2014

Most people are familiar with IMATS if they follow beauty gurus from Youtube or other beauty bloggers because many of them attend this event. It's a trade show/ expo for makeup artists where vendors will offer their products, sometimes at a discount, and there's shows and competitions. I wouldn't consider myself a makeup enthusiast but I'm keen on picking up a few tips and I really wanted to get a few things. I bought a general admission ticket for Saturday and it costed me AUD$40 (including the booking fee). I figured that most of the popular items would be sold out on the first day, so I chose to go on a Saturday (if you want to haggle prices, Sunday's probably better but I haven't mastered the art of negotiation). The plan was to go alone because I'd be able to get around faster and a lot of that time would be waiting in queues. The venue was the Royal Hall of Industries in Moore Park, which isn't very far from the CBD but it makes going to the sh...

Trend: Earmuffs

It's been a little while since I've posted something. I haven't really planned out anything so this post will be a little messy. I don't like to do posts on trends, to be honest. These trend posts focus on what's in Australian fashion at the moment, so I'm pretty much reporting on the trends that people living in the Northern hemisphere just had. Anyway, I've noticed earmuffs popping up in shops from Equip to Armani Exchange. I actually think it's pretty cute but this trend will probably be short-lived (what I mean about this is that I can't see it popping up again next year). It's more like an accessory rather than something useful, as it only keeps your ears warm. Australian winters aren't that cold and I don't think we need to keep our ears warm.  However, if you're looking for a pair of earmuffs,  AUD$16.99 from Equip If you want to splurge on a pair of earmuffs, they have a pair on display at the Armani Exchange in the P...
