Beauty: Calia Naturals

I first came across Calia through Holistichabits/Sarah Nagel on YouTube. It's been on my wishlist for a while until I finally got around to making a purchase. I may no longer be on the whole 'natural' kick but I still enjoy using haircare that is derived from natural ingredients. I've had this regimen for about two months. I think they are very similar to the Al'chemy shampoos I used before. Calia uses unrefined ingredients and Al'chemy uses coconut-derived chemicals but I don't notice much difference. If Calia finds a way to ship items cheaper internationally (other than US and Canada), I might pick their products up again. For now, Australia offers many natural brands and Al'chemy is pretty close. Nevertheless, I recommend Calia to anyone who lives in North America and can take advantage of free shipping when you reach CAD$69. For anyone wanting to try Calia, I recommend the hydrating line. It smells divine with the geranium oil and is gentle on...

Random: Mid-year Break

Sometimes, you just need a break from things. I'm back for the second semester now but this was how I spent my break: I visited a friend at her place and she curled my hair. I also got to try one of her corsets. It was quite flattering but I don't have a picture because it was ridiculous to wear a corset over a jumper/sweater. It's finished now. I haven't painted in a while and wanted to get in touch with my artistic side (sarcasm)... I just felt like painting. This is not an original work. I was never good at painting so I followed a tutorial  here.  Nevermind that, I never honed my skills so my artistic skill is the same as my 12-year-old self. However, I did sketch this (for fun) while I was supposed to be studying for my finals. I started drawing a person ...

Trend: Feather Hair Extensions

Hello there! You can debate whether feather hair extensions should or should not be in this blog. It's a hair trend but I regard it as an accessory and fashion isn't restricted to clothing and jewellery. I've actually mentioned these in one of my past posts but it seems now it's popping up everyone's hair, from youtube to celebrities like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Hilary Duff.  I'm a little late when reporting on trends and I've stated before that I report trends in Australia but I suppose this applies to people in the Northern hemisphere, having spring melt their winter. It's probably just me but I have a feeling that these will probably pop up in some heads when spring comes for us.  I wouldn't say there is a large demand for feather hair extensions but it is increasing. If it's really popular in the US, I'd say it definitely would pop up here as soon as winter ends. If you're daring enough, it can look really hip and trendy... a...
